Raymond Pettibon
American (b. 1957)

Raymond Pettibon is known internationally for his signature ink-wash drawings, which combine cartoon-like images with short, enigmatic texts. His compelling and witty drawings reveal all the deviations within American culture—in film, crime, TV, sex, art, religion, sports, comic books, and more. Much of his work addresses 1960s–80s California culture.
